1985 club cart, 36 V, just clicks when pushing the accelarator pedal?
batteries have full carge, as far as i can tell, charger shuts off on it's own, never worked on Golf Cart before, any help would be wonderful, did do some checking, it has 5 solenoids, and a coil resistor, F-N-R switch which i think is working ok, won't do nothing in N, but in F, or R, just 5 clicks as you depress the pedal, which i think are the speed limitors, so i am at a lost as what to do to fix problem
are the clicks you hear the 5 solenoids or just microswitches activating
if all of the solenoids are working
the next thing i would look at is the f n r switch if they do not make contact on both sides it will not move
some have fuses for main power follow the cables from the batteries to the switch
if the switch is ok go to the wires on the motor lift the wheels in the air to keep it from moving
hold the accelerator down and see if you have a full 36 volts at the motor if you do it will probably need brushes
most of the time it is the f n r switch that causes the problem
