Toronto Children's performing arts school students, record urban RnB inspired inspirational ballad with Canadian singer songwriter Shawn Glynn who is producing along with Mitch Girio.
We give you the story of:
Sing To The World
Shawn teaches at JRP Toronto on the weekends and keeps his kids singing. The Sunday morning Masters/ Finishing class participants wanted to work on song writing and pop music vocals. They worked hard at learning and understanding their passion. The project was simply this: "Can you write a song then give it away" - Shawn explained that this is not giving their rights of the ownership of the song away, but the ideas and emotions from your heart to the world freely through music.They began by spending weeks on wording and voicing, range, and color, then moving on to acting and feeling, performing, and finally recording. The students raised the money on their own, sacrificing allowances and spending cash to have Shawn's lead producer Mitch Girio work on the song with them to track, mix, and master the project. With that, Shawn lugged his keyboard up the stairs of Spadina and Richmond and set up to go to work with this burgeoning group of talented minds. The words to this song are theirs, with their voices and emotions. Although Shawn does not sing on the track, the piano and music sings with the children...they are inspirational and full of hope for a better world by sharing their talent with others. Once the song is completed, the students will sell CDR copies of their song to fund raise $1,500.00 to give to a local charity that helps children which they chose. The first recording takes place on May 25th 2008 / followed by a second recording June 1st 2008 both at JRP......who knows what will come of this song, but these children will move you when you hear them "Sing To The World". Song sample will be available on Shawn Glynn's Myspace soon.
